Vote YES on LV to protect the excellent teachers and academic programs that make Las Virgenes Unified School District one of California's highest performing school districts — WITHOUT INCREASING TAX RATES.
For over 20 years, local voter-approved funding has supported the outstanding teachers and award-winning educational programs that prepare local students for success in college and careers, and make our local schools the pride of our community. This funding is now set to expire.
Voting YES on LV simply renews existing local school funding at the current $98 annual rate and DOES NOT INCREASE TAXES.
State school funding is inadequate, unstable, and only provides a basic education. Measure LV continues local support to protect our excellent schools and strong property values.
Without Measure LV, more than $2,300,000 in annual local school funding will expire, forcing cuts like teacher layoffs, larger class sizes, and reduced educational programs for students.

Voting YES on LV will:

Attract and retain highly qualified teachers

Maintain manageable class sizes

Support programs in science, technology, engineering and math
Preserve advanced academic programs students need for success in college and careers
Measure LV continues strict fiscal accountability protections and local control:

No increase in the current $98 annual tax rate

Every dollar stays in Las Virgenes schools and cannot be taken by the county, state, or federal governments

Funds cannot be used for administrator salaries

An independent oversight committee, annual audits, and public spending disclosure ensure funds are used as promised

Homeowners age 65 and older remain eligible for an exemption
Whether or not you have school-age children, protecting excellent local schools strengthen our entire community by protecting property values, attracting families and businesses, and preparing the next generation for success.
